Professional Biography
Matt Cannon founded AMVIA with a straightforward idea: SMEs deserve the same quality of IT support that larger enterprises receive, without the complexity or inflated costs. He has spent more than 15 years working inside and alongside managed service providers across the UK, and that experience shapes the way AMVIA is run today.
Before AMVIA, Matt held senior operational roles at regional MSPs covering the South East and Midlands, where he developed a particular focus on service delivery quality and the client relationships that underpin long-term retention. He believes that the measure of a good MSP is not what happens when everything is working — it is how the team responds when it is not.
As Managing Director, Matt oversees AMVIA's day-to-day operations, commercial strategy, and client relationships. He works closely with both the technical and sales leadership to ensure that every client receives consistent, accountable service. He is directly involved in onboarding new enterprise accounts and in shaping the roadmap for AmviaIQ, AMVIA's proprietary monitoring platform.
Matt holds an ITIL v4 Foundation certification and has completed executive education in technology leadership. He is a regular attendee and occasional speaker at UK MSP forums, and takes a practical, no-nonsense approach to IT strategy for SMEs.
